HOW A SAHM CAN HAVE IT ALL WITH NETWORK MARKETING

I didn’t have the overnight success story that you hear so many leaders talk about. Actually,  let’s back it up. It took me a year to succeed in business, but the truly crazy thing is that I never even imagined myself in network marketing.

I was the one who ran the other way when someone tried to mention their products and opportunities. But, after being home with my boys for five years, I found I needed something for me. 

Maybe some of you moms can relate?

My Introduction to Network Marketing

I loved being home, but it was isolating! 

I really missed the social aspect of work, and the feeling of success and appreciation. 

I looked into every opportunity, but nothing made sense. 

Either the jobs required way too many hours away from the boys, which I wasn’t willing to consider, or the pay wasn’t enough to cover the cost of the childcare I would need.  

At this point, I felt like I had to accept that it just isn’t possible to have it all in our society. 

Then I was introduced to a network marketing opportunity that, for the first time, piqued my interest.

So, I jumped in, and I figured, worst-case scenario, I would get the products for free. If I made $200 a month, it would be a win.

The problem?

I was scared to tell anyone about what I was doing. I worried what my friends and family would think.

I was afraid of failure and, basically, kept it my dirty little secret.

So, it is no surprise that I actually lost money that first entire year in business.

Yup, I was spending more on the products than I was making.

But, a year into my business, something changed. 

My husband was working 6-7 days a week, but we couldn’t get our heads above water. 

It caught up with us that we went from double income, no kids to one income, three kids; and we were drowning. 

We were certainly not living the life we imagined.

I wanted my husband around, and we wanted to travel.

Now we couldn’t afford to travel, and my husband couldn’t take the time off!  

We knew something had to change, fast!

That’s when I realized that I had the answer: my network marketing business.

I saw other women find success, and I finally said why not me?  

Network marketing is the most equal opportunity business in the world. Everyone in your company sells the same products, and has the same compensation plan and access to the same training. If others could do it, then so could I.

I finally pushed through my fears, and stopped caring what everyone would think. I got to work.

I was still working around three very young kids, so I did most of it at night after they went to bed. I worked very part time hours, but within two-and-a-half years our lives had completely changed.

My husband was able to work much less, because I earning almost four time what I had at my past full time job. We started living debt free. We were able to buy a beach house, and I was doing it all around my kids while being a full-time SAHM! I get to be class mom; I get to live at the beach with them in the summer, and I never miss any of their precious moments. All the while, my business is still hugely successful.  

I once thought that our society didn’t make it easy for moms to have it all, but now I know that it is truly possible!
