6 Reasons Network Marketing Should Be One of Your Income Streams

If you’re dubious about the title of this blog post, I get it. The truth is, I never imagined myself in the network marketing industry. I literally ran the other way when someone mentioned it! I didn’t want to attend the parties; I didn’t want to buy the products, and I didn’t want to hear about it.

But I was so wrong about this industry. And you might be, too.

When I finally listened to what these people were saying and took action, joining a network marketing company turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.

Here are a few reasons why you should at least consider network marketing as one of your multiple income streams:

1.    We live in the information age!

Everything is online, on our phones, and social media these days! Brick and mortar stores are closing daily, while Amazon and online shopping continues to grow. People want convenience. We run our lives from our phones, and we value the recommendations of friends above all in buying decisions. Why not be apart of this industry and get paid for it?

2.    Low start-up costs.

Network marketing is a business in a box. You get to leverage your company’s products, their website, and technology. With a typical brick and mortar business, you have to pay rent, carry inventory, and buy insurance. The costs are so high. With network marketing, you can typically start a business for less than $1,000.  No skills are required other than hard work and a willingness to learn.

3.    Residual income.

In a typical job, you get paid for the work you do or the hours you put in. You trade your time for money. With residual income, you continue to get paid long after you have done the work. When you sell a consumable good, your customers use the products, love them, and then run out and order more—and you get paid every time they re-order.

4.    You need a plan B.

I planned on being at my old job forever. I worked hard, reached the top ranks, and figured I would work and be a mom when our first son was born.  But my boss had other plans, and he eliminated my position when I returned from maternity leave. There are no guarantees in life. Jobs get eliminated, illness happens, and so do emergencies, government shutdowns, natural disasters—you get the idea. Having a plan B is a safety net that you very well might need someday.

5.    Community.

When I started network marketing, I was a stay at home mom (SAHM) who missed the social aspect of work. I missed feeling appreciated and having something to call my own. I wasn’t joining because I wanted to become the primary breadwinner in my family. I just wanted something for me. My network marketing business has provided me with a community of like-minded women—women who support each other, motivate and inspire each other, look out for each other and genuinely want the best for each other. It is like nothing I have ever experienced before and I treasure it.

6.    Unlimited income potential.

Unlike a corporate salary, there is no cap on what you can make as a network marketer. If you develop a talent for the business, you could be living the life of your dreams in no time. Imagine the possibilities!

Network marketing has been such a blessing to my family. I have become the primary breadwinner, and we just closed on the house of our dreams. Is network marketing a good choice for you?
