You Can Do Anything

I believe we get to control our own lives.

Sure, things happen outside of our control, but, ultimately, we have power over our own success or failure.

Whether we keep going or give up.

Whether we are happy or miserable.

Whether we live as a victim or persevere no matter what.

We get to decide.

Of course, life happens. We will fail sometimes. We will get hurt. We will be sad. But those are all circumstances.

No person or circumstance can make you feel anything. YOU get to decide how you respond. You get to decide if you get back up and fight.

As women, oftentimes the biggest obstacles that hold us back are our own self-limiting beliefs about who we are and what we are capable of.

Did you know that the human brain can produce up to 50,000 thoughts a day and 99% percent of these thoughts are repeated daily?

What you think, you believe; and what you believe, you become.

That’s why it’s so important to think empowering, positive thoughts rather than self defeating thoughts.

In order to achieve success, you have to have the right mindset. It starts by knowing that everything you want, you can have.

Take ownership of your life and your choices, and become the badass woman that you were born to be.

Again, we don’t have control over the highs and lows that come with life, but we do have control over how we respond to them. Rather than be a victim, be the victor and say, “I’ve got this.”

Here’s the thing:

There’s someone busier than you making time to do what gets them closer to her goal.

There’s someone less educated starting a business.

There’s someone who is scared but still stepping out of her comfort zone.

Stop telling yourself why you can’t do something, and start asking why not?

You have the power to rewrite your story.

No one gets to tell you what you can do and how successful you can be. It takes time and it takes hard work, but you are just as capable as the next person.

I grew up doubting myself and never thinking that anything I did was good enough.

I was afraid of failure and thought others could have success, but not me. I told myself every reason why I couldn’t win until I believed it.

But when we change our thoughts, we can change our lives.

I finally stopped saying why I couldn’t do it and just got to work. I started setting small goals, and, when I achieved one, I believed in myself a little bit more. Eventually, I started thinking, “What else can I do?”

If you keep putting one foot in front of the other,  you end up places you never imagined. The bottom line is that if you want it, go get it.

You can do anything.

You are capable of so much more than you know.
